Presenting Print

I think the way in which print is presented should reflect the content and ethos of the design itself. I really like the way in which the above print has been presented; it isn't just laid out on a table, surrounded by other print collateral. I think this would work extremely well with my Hope brief if I were to continue it on and produce I lookbook.

Shop Front Design

I think this shop front works really well. It is simple and concise; there is a simple colour palette used and an interesting application of type. This design seems to create an image in itself whereby all the elements come together to produce the exterior visuals of the shop. I could see this simplistic design working well with my Hope clothing boutique and the simple design I am proposing. If I have the time, I want to work on designing the store front.

Pandora Digital Presentation

The way in which Pandora display their online presence in their promotional booklets is very professional, it is concise yet allows the audience to easily see what is on offer to them. I think the way in which Pandora display their website pages is particularly effective. I want to try to use this style of presentation within my design boards.

Dock Street Arts

After our event this weekend, our work has been left up at Dock Street Market as part of Dock Street Arts and as a result our logo has appeared on the flyer (although he accidentally used our old logo design). This is essentially providing us with another platform in which we can showcase our work to another audience.

Paper Stock for Hope print colaterall

I have used this stock for the 80th invitations I designed last year and have decided to use it again for this brief. I think the silky texture will work really well against the blind emboss of the Hope logo.

National Trust Shop

I want to propose my cards are sold in National Trust shops around the country, in-store and online.

Embossed type

I had a look through my type journal as I wanted to find some examples of embossed type and knew I had some in there. I found this Chloe and Marc Jacobs type. This is exactly the level of execution I want to product for my Hope type, however, it is going to be difficult for me to manually line this up correctly. So, if this fails I may blind emboss the type as seen below...

open/closed signs

I want to extend my range of deliverables and produce and open/closed sign for Hope, after all, a small boutique like this will need one. I have been looking at the layout of traditional signs but they all look boring and corporate, I want to produce something a little more design lead that keeps in line with the Hope branding I have created.

The sign below is a fine demonstration of a more considered design, it has the boutiques logo laser cut and leaves the sign freestanding in the window, a very nice touch.

Presenting my tees

I think this way of presenting the tees on a clean wooden hanger is simple and keeps the attention on the tshirt and no background distractions. I am going to try and get hold of a wooden hanger so that I can present my tee range in this way.
